BANK OF AFRICA conducts a carbon assessment for the second consecutive year

BANK OF AFRICA is fully aware of the stakes in the combat against climate change. For this reason, in what was a watershed year in 2015, it voluntarily made a commitment to measuring its greenhouse gas emissions (GGE).

The Bank’s 2016 carbon assessment shows that it had reduced its CO2 emissions by 7% per employee. The assessment takes into account the main direct and indirect emissions under three different scopes: Scopes 1, 2 & 3 (energy consumption, property, plant and equipment, procurement, transporting funds, business travel and waste recycling).
