Zurich, Switzerland – May 29, 2024 – BANK OF AFRICA SA is pleased to announce the addition of its representative office in Zurich into its operations, marking a significant step in its international expansion and its commitment to supporting Swiss SMEs in their investments in Africa.


A Banking License for Tailored Support

BANK OF AFRICA’s expertise in Africa and its willingness to be closer to its Swiss clients, has obtained a banking license from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). This status allows it to operate as a representative of a foreign bank in Switzerland starting from May 1, 2024.
The primary mission of BANK OF AFRICA's representative office in Switzerland will be to promote the bank's financial products and services, particularly in corporate and investment banking. It will also serve as a support platform for Swiss institutions wishing to establish or expand their activities in African markets.
